Colorado Spring the home of the Seven Waterfalls! Is the most popular city of El – Paso County, Colorado State United States, situated on the Fountain Creek and is located at the east of state’s geographic center and 98 km south of the Colorado state capitol. Colorado spring has a population of 414,318 according to the census of 2009 and is the 46th, most populous city of the United States. The city has an area of 482 Kilometer Square which makes it the Colorado’s largest city and was selected as the No.1 in “Best Places to Live” by Money Magazine in the year 2006.

Tourist Attraction:
Colorado Spring is a very popular tourist destination as the city is located at the base of Rocky Mountains and has numerous numbers of trails and parks and is surely a place for the tourists seeking natural beauty. Most famous and unique geographical features include Seven Falls and the Cave of Wind.

Cave of winds is a cave in the Pikes peak mountainous region and is located at the west of Colorado Springs on US Highway 24. The most famous section of the cave is the Silent Splendor Room which was discovered in 1984. This room is filled with rare Crystalline Speleothems but this room is sealed off from the general Public to preserve its delicate environment.

“Seven Falls” is a series of seven cascading waterfalls and the height of the seven falls is approximately 55.17m and has 224 steps on staircase from the base to the fall of the peak and is foremost the biggest tourist attraction in Colorado spring.

Geography:
Colorado Spring has a total area of 186.1 Square mile according to the census of United States Census Bureau. Colorado Spring is 1839 meters above sea level, although some areas of the city are even higher! Colorado spring is situated almost at the base of the America’s most famous mountain Pikes Peak at eastern edge of the southern Rocky Mountains.

Climate:
Colorado Springs consists of a semi-arid climate and receives about 442mm rainfall annually with an average winter snowfall of 110cm. Snowfalls sometimes during May and October and rarely before or later respectively.
