Introduction – Dubai:

Dubai is located at the south of Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula and is one of the seven emirates of the UAE (United Arab Emirates). It has the largest population and is second largest emirate with respect to area. Dubai and Abu Dhabi the only two emirates that have the veto power when it comes to the critical matters of national importance according to the legislature of the country and is one of the most important sea ports of the world. Dubai has made its place as a global city and a business hub, its economy is built on Oil Industry and the current revenues generated are through tourism, financial services and real estate.

Places of Interest:

There are number of places that are worth mentioning in Dubai, these attractions include tall buildings to giant sized parks to small Parks. Two of the parks that are worth mentioning in Dubai are, Safa Park and Wild Wadi Water Park.
Safa Park consists of three lakes, about 16,924 trees and bushes and over 200 species of birds! Within the park there are giant sized lawns that cover 80% of the whole park, it also comprises of a small forest, a hill to view panoramic views of the park and a waterfall that flows out of the hill and falls into the largest lake which has fountain and touring boats.

The Wild Wadi Water Park is the biggest water park in Dubai and is situated in Jumeirah (an area in Dubai). It is a water park with both heated and cooled wave pool followed by two artificial surfing machines. Wild Wadi Water park includes several rides that are, Master Blaster, Ring Rides, Family ride, Jumeirah Sceirah, Flow Rider, breakers bay, Juha’s Journey and Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon another feature of this water park is a 59 feet waterfall that goes off every ten minutes.

Climate:
Dubai comprises of a hot arid climate. Summers are extremely hot, windy and dry and have an average temperature of 40 °C. Winters are cool but very short with an average temperature of 23 °C. The annual rainfall in Dubai is approximately 150mm.
