Introduction – London

London is the capital of England as well as of United Kingdom. It is the biggest city of Great Britain and it dates back to the Roman Empire who called it Londinium. The city has a vast history and it has seen wars, struggle and love. It is considered to be one of the most important cities of the world. And its education is accepted in every part of the world. Beside of its diverse history, it is also an important destination for tourists.

Architecture of a Great City
The city has a wide variety of architecture from modern to old. The modern Architecture includes the world famous 30 St Mary Axe which is sometimes known as Swiss re Building. The skyscraper comprises of 40 floors which stands at 180 meters. It is a piece of modern engineering which combines the art of design and inspiration and the power of engineering.

Buckingham Palace is an excellent example of old building which dates back to 1703 and it was also served as the residence of Queen Victoria. Now it is the official residence of the British monarch. The building was originally built for John Sheffield, the first duke of Buckingham.

Parks of City

The city not just has beautiful buildings but it also has numerous parks such as Kensington Gardens. It has a vast garden which offers Italian Fountains, Serpentine Bridge and the Statue of Peter Pan. The garden also has a wide river flowing through it.

Richmond Park is another beautiful garden where deer can easily be seen which numbers around six hundred. The garden also offers a clear view of St Paul's Cathedral. The Swizz Re Building and the Millennium Wheel which is sometimes called the London Eye, can also been seen.

It is very easy for tourist to visit different locations by using its most efficient transportation system. The city has full-of-fun double-decker bus. The city also has fast moving metropolitan. London is a great destination to spend vacations and enjoy visiting great places.
