Introduction – Los Angeles
Los Angels is translated to The Angels in Spanish. The Angels is the second largest city of America and it is situated in the California State. The large words of HOLLYWOOD are places on Santa Monica Mountains in Los Angeles. The city is also sometimes called The City of Angels and it is world’s center for business, entertainment, science, fashion, technology and education. The city also served as host of Summer Olympics in 1932 and 1984.
Discover its Culture
It is estimated that one out of every six of its residence works in creative industry. It is sometimes called the Creative Capital of the World. Los Angeles has an importance for being the home of Hollywood which produced millions of dollar films which are watched all over the world. There are more than thousand theaters and performing groups. The Academy Awards ceremony is also hosted here and it also home to Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Home of Sports Entertainment
The city is not just home to the Hollywood but also home to major leagues of football, basketball and baseball. There are numerous stadiums such as Staples Center which is a very favorite sports arena which opened in 1999. The sport arena offer games of basketball, ice hockey and boxing and it also offer concerts.
Dodger Stadium is another most popular sport stadium of baseball. It was opened in 1962 which costs around $23 millions.
Traveling to Los Angeles
The city has a very beautiful sea port which is Port of Los Angeles. It also serves as a landmark for the Los Angeles. It also has a very beautiful bridge named as the Vincent Thomas Bridge. Its a 460 meters long syspension bridge. It is also the third largest suspension brige in California. Los Angeles is a great place for tourists for spending great time.
