Introduction: - Orlando

The tropical beaches and fascinating resorts make Orlando the heaven for tourists! Orlando is a major city in the state of Florida (United States). The Orlando’s metropolitan area has a population of about 2,082,628 while the city’s proper population is 230,519 which make Orlando the 82nd largest city in U.S. Orlando was constituent on July 31st, 1875 and became a city in 1885.

Primarily Orlando was a major citrus growing region but in past several decades it has been greatly urbanized with several industries and is a home of Universal Orlando Resort and the world famous children theme park Walt Disney World! And is surely a Tourist Paradise!

Attraction Places:
One of the biggest theme park resorts after the Walt Disney World is the Universal Orlando Resort! This resort consists of two theme parks that are Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Universal Studio Florida is a theme park that let’s the visitor feel that they are at a movie set which consists of rides relating to popular movies.

This park consists of six root areas that are, Hollywood, New York, San Francisco / Amity, Production Central, Kids Zone and World Expo while Universal Island’s of Adventure consist of seven distinct islands, consisting of their own themes they include – Jurassic Park, Toon Lagoon, Marvel Super Hero Island, The Lost Continent Seuss Landing and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

All these attractions are the backbone of Orlando’s tourism industry which makes this city the third most visited city of the United States.

Geography:
Orlando mostly consists of wetlands which consist of several lakes and swamps. The land is fairly low and wet as the terrain is generally flat. This area is filled with hundreds of lakes and the largest among them is known as Lake
Apopka. The Orlando’s area is more prone to sinkholes. So you better watch your feet when crossing through one!

Climate:
The climate of Orlando is warm and humid. Orlando has two major sessions every year. First one is hot and rainy which lasts from June till September while the other one is dry which lasts from October till the end of the May, which results in moderate temperature with fewer rainfalls.
