Introduction – Philadelphia

Philadelphia is the largest city in the Pennsylvania state and 6th most populated city of America. Philadelphia is favored over other cities because it gave birth to most of the Heroes of Independence movement and it has also served as the capital during the Revolutionary War and it remained capital even after the war as a temporary capital during the construction of the Washington D.C. Beside the fact that it has always remained the center of economy and nation’s capital, it is also a tourist attraction where tourist from all countries come to discover the history of American people.

Architecture to See
The architecture of Philadelphia dates back to 1776 to Colonial Rule and city has a wide variety of buildings that define the struggle of American people for the Independence. Some of the buildings even date back to 1700. The city also offers Georgian style buildings which were constructed in the 18th century such as Christ Church which was constructed in 1744 by the members of Church of England. Independence Hall is another good example and it now serves as a national landmark and it is situated on the Chestnut Street.

Enjoy its Cuisine
Philadelphia is not only known for its struggle for independence but also for its cuisine. There are numerous restaurants which Philadelphia has to offer. Such as the famous French restaurant Le Bec-Fin which opened in 1970 and it has been considered one of the finest French restaurants in America.

Other finest restaurants include The Davio’s Restaurant which is build into a historic Provident Bank. The design and architecture has been kept the same which provides a sense of history revealed again.

Philadelphia also offers shopping attractions and sport stadiums which offer baseball, basketball, American football, ice hockey and soccer leagues. The city is an important place during the sport seasons and people from all over the country comes here to watch the game.

It also offer shopping markets such as City Center, Jeweler’s Row and Rittenhouse are among the most visited. Tourists come here and spend their time shopping. Philadelphia is a great place for tourist to spend time enjoying shopping and watching their favorite games.
