Portland city is located in the Oregon state and has become the 30th most populated city of the United States. Portland is said to be the most environmental friendly city in the United States and 2nd in the world. The Portland has very pleasant weather mostly sunny days but it gets little cold in the winter.

Parks to Visit
Because of the rivers that flow through the city, there are plenty of gardens and greenery which Portland has to offer. Parks such as the Forest Park and Mill End’s Park are the most visited. The parks offer beautiful gardens with a wide variety of flowers.

Performances to Watch
The Portland city offers many theaters where tourists can spend their time watching marvelous performances. The theaters include the famous Portland Center Stage founded 1988 and its part of Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. Other theaters include Artist Repertory Theater and considered a non-profit and professional theater. The city is also host to the world’s most famous animators and artists such as Matt Groening and famous rock band Nirvana. Many of the most famous Hollywood films such as Twilight were shot here.

Shopping Destinations
There are many shopping destinations in Portland such as Pearl District. Pearl District is a very busy street offering a wide variety of showrooms and a very important business street. Other shopping attractions include Portland Saturday Market. It is an outdoor art and craft market which is open all night till 4:30 am and it is considered to be the largest continuously working outdoor market in the America.
