In the year 2008 the federal government had 27 percentages of jobs in Washington DC. The gross per capita income of this district in the year 2008 was about 97.2 billion dollars. Washington DC has a good growth of private industries. Washington DC has the second lowest unemployment rate of about 6.9% and it is more developed specially in the areas of education, finance, public policy and scientific research. There are top five non government related employees in the city. The national mall is one of the larger open areas in the Washington DC city.
